Environmental awareness, sustainability, high quality standards and trained personnel have enabled Gerstner Catering to be awarded the Austrian Eco-label in 2010. We are the first catering company of our size to receive the award.

Sustainability and environmental protection are of ever increasing importance in our society and are important topics for the present and the future. These topics can now be taken into account for events. Since July 1st, 2010, meetings of any size can be awarded the Austrian eco-label. Successful events not only protect the environment, but also save resources and help to reduce costs.
Gerstner focuses on environmental protection through the efficient use of energy and water, waste reduction, controlled waste separation, the use of reusable and large containers to avoid waste, the use of environmentally friendly detergents and cleaners, regular monitoring of emissions in disposal water, and choosing local and organic foods and products. In addition, the regular training of staff in these areas is an important factor.
