
It was here, in this medieval estate, that the revolution of 1848 began. It was here, in 1918, that the first Austrian republic was founded. It is here that the state government and the parliament of Lower Austria have had their headquarters since 1922: at Herrengasse 13, between the Parliament and the Imperial Hofburg Palace, directly in the center of the republic.

Our 4 beautiful state rooms on the first floor have been meticulously restored down to the smallest detail, and have been equipped with modern technology and air conditioning.
On the ground floor are the “Landhauskapelle”, the Country House Chapel, and three additional conference rooms named after famous men from Lower Austria.
